a major means used to enlist terrorists
Dear ACTS Friend,
A reminder that according to the director of ACT for America, Brigitte Gabriel, "One of the principal reasons why today's [continuing] threat of 'Islamo-fascism' is so explosive is due to the unprecedented power of global communication. Never before in history have militant Muslims bent on jihad had the ability to recruit, radicalize, and train on the scale they can today. The jihadists understand that the Internet is their door to the entire world and they are actively using it" to the fullest possible extent.
Furthermore, jihadists have almost unlimited financial backing to do this. What they are doing today would not have been possible 20 years ago.
Here in ACTS we, too, are using the Internet, e-Mail, and now Twitter—to the fullest extent of our ability—on an extremely limited budget.
Every weekday of the year we are now sending e-Mail messages to 351,000+ Daily Encounter worldwide subscribers (that's almost tripled in the past two-and-a-half years). This means that this year we will be sending out over 91 million Encounter messages! In addition, we are reaching thousands more daily via our websites and our aggressive advertising. Every month we have visitors to our web pages from 194 countries and territories. This, too, would not have been possible 20 years ago!
What is even more exciting is that every day of the year we are seeing salvation and re-commitment to Christ responses from around the world. To date this year they have come from 107 countries that we are aware of.
With every dollar you send for ACTS ministry you are helping to use today's powerful electronic communication media to combat not only the evils of 'islamo-fascism,' but also the evils of pornographers, and the work of Satan who is "hell-bent" on blocking the publishing of the gospel and stopping people from coming to Christ.
We cannot and we must not allow these enemies of the gospel to use the Internet, e-Mail, Facebook, Twitter and other social networks more effectively than we Christians do. But we cannot do this without your support and the help of many more supporters.
We have seen some of our greatest growth ever over the past two-and-a half years. However, in this same time we have been hit extremely hard because of the U.S. economy. We have lost many monthly supporters, and our income has dropped by $35,000 from where we were at this time two years ago. As a result, all our financial reserves are completely gone and we are in debt.
We have cut expenses everywhere possible but urgently need to rebuild our financial base. To do this we are asking God for 120 Upper Room Partner monthly supporters (as well as regular supporters).
Why the 120? At the very beginning of the Christian church on the Day of Pentecost there were 120 disciples in the Upper Room when God poured out his Holy Spirit on the first disciples who, in turn, turned their world upside down for Jesus Christ. So we are asking God for 120 Upper Room Partners who will commit by faith—with God's help—to turn the world upside down for many by supporting ACTS gospel outreach with $120 a month for the next twelve months. Or it can work this way:
- 120 Upper Room Investors to donate $120 a month to cover
ACTS monthly budget, or for those unable to commit to $120 …
- 500 to support with $30 a month or
- 1000 to support with $15 a month

Your help at this time is urgently needed! We cannot afford to let radical terrorists and enemies of the gospel use the Internet and e-Mail more effectively than God's people do. For ACTS to do our part this is only possible with your help.
