Special Operational Needs for 2013
Areas of Ministry Needs
Following are the areas of ACTS' ministry that need funding to make ACTS dynamic worldwide gospel outreach possible:
- Dynamic Internet outreach communicating the gospel and Christian message in several languages worldwide 24-7-365. See list of ACTS 30 websites below.
- Aggressive advertising in the secular media to reach many thousands of non-believers around the world every day.
- For Daily Encounter "120 Upper Room Sponsors" are needed. That is, 120 people who will donate $31.25 a month which would net up to 5,000 new worldwide subscribers per month. Most of our salvation and re-comment to Christ responses (approx 300+- a month) come from Daily Encounter subscribers. (Advertising cost is now $0.75 per new subscriber. We advertise via a secular web source as this is how we are reaching so many unchurched people for Christ, which is an investment in eternity.

As many, if not most, of our salvation and re-commitment to Jesus Christ responses come from our advertising for new Daily Encounter subscribers, it is imperative that we continue this advertising every month—all year long. The following Daily Encounter Upper Room Sponsors will also achieve the following results:
$31.25 a month will gain 42 new subscribers every
month.
$50 a month will gain 66 new subscribers every month.
$75 a month will gain 100 new subscribers every month.
$100 a month will gain 132 new subscribers every month.
Every subscriber receives a Christian message with a link to a clear gospel message every weekday of the year. As a result we are currently averaging 300+- salvation and re-commitment to Jesus Christ responses a month from around the world.

- Support for publishing Daily and Weekend Encounter e-zines to keep these without cost to worldwide subscribers—many of whom have a meager income. Combined, with Prayer Encounter we now have almost 400,000 worldwide subscribers.

- Follow-up ministry.
- Developing the Good News websites for churches: See www.goodnewsfor.com/san_clemente for an example
- E-mail pastoral counseling without charge.
- Foreign language web outreach: We currently have web sites in English, Spanish, and French. Our Finnish and Israeli websites need updating. Need to find new translators for these.
- Translating every issue of Daily Encounter into Spanish and setup so that it is sent out automatically.
- Office and computer equipment and supplies.
- Staff support: In our U.S. office we currently have only two staff members, Joy (my wife) and myself. Because of the continuing growth of this ministry, an Assistant Director staff member is a very pressing need. Translators are also paid at an hourly rate as are helpers for special needs and projects.
- Ongoing technical support (which is not cheap) for Internet and E-mail programming to ensure that we are kept up to date with the latest technology and protection from hackers.
- Overheads expenses. Printing supplies, postage, electricity, printer servicing and inks, envelopes, correspondence, telephone costs, hosting service for our 30 websites and sending out Daily and Weekend Encounters — delivering almost two million Encounter e-Mail messages every week!
- Developing and maintaining the following ACTS web sites:

Why 120 upper room sponsors?
After Christ's death and resurrection: "Then they [the early disciples and followers of Jesus] returned to Jerusalem from the mount called Olivet, which is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath day’s journey. And when they had entered, they went up into the upper room where they were staying: Peter, James, John, and Andrew; Philip and Thomas; Bartholomew and Matthew; James the son of Alphaeus and Simon the Zealot; and Judas the son of James.These all continued with one accord in prayer and supplication, with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers. And in those days Peter stood up in the midst of the disciples (altogether the number of names was about one hundred and twenty)..." (Acts 1:12-15, NKJV). This prayer meeting was in preparation for the founding of the Church of Jesus Christ.
